Komodo Dancer

Peter Hughes Diving’s latest addition to their fleet is Komodo Dancer, to be based in Bali and diving the reefs of Bali, Flores & Komodo, as well as giving guests the opportunity to go ashore and see such sights as the legendary Komodo dragon, the world’s largest lizard.

Komodo Dancer is a two-masted wooden sailing vessel designed in a traditional manner but built to modern specifications. 98ft long with a massive 30ft beam she accommodates 16 guests in 8 cabins and has a crew of 14.

The main deck contains the galley & saloon, plus the spacious shaded dive area for gearing up. Most diving is done from the two 22ft tenders, so tanks are kept aboard the tenders. From the main deck you can access the upper deck where the Owner’s Suite is located. With picture windows offering commanding views, the Owner’s Suite has a queen sized bed, private bathroom and independently controlled air-conditioning. The main deck also provides access to the lower deck where there are 5 twin staterooms and 2 deluxe staterooms forward. The twin staterooms have single 3ft bunks above & below and private en suites. The deluxe staterooms have a queen bed and single bunk above and en suites. All the cabins have individually controlled air-conditioning. The boat can therefore cater for single guests & couples alike.

Up to 5 dives per day are offered on 7 or 11 night cruises, with 5½ & 9½ days diving on each cruise respectively.
