North Sulawesi |

|
The northern part of Sulawesi has for some time been popular with scuba divers. To the west is the island of Bunaken, a perfectly cone-shaped extinct volcano, covered in lush forest, that plunges into deep water with spectacular walls and big fish encounters. Nearby XXXXX island, by contrast, is a low lying coral island with a stunning array of coral gardens and extic critter. In the centre are the islands of Gangga, Bangka and XXXX with a range of fringing reefs, coral gardens, pinnacle and walls. And to the east is the world famous Lembeh Straits, home to perhaps the bizarrest bunch of marine critters to be found anywhere in the world. A busy shipping channel with numerous villages along its shores it is hard to imagine that beneath the waves of Lembeh the black sand and algae coated mud are a host of wonderful creatures that defy description and the imagination. Surprisingly Lembeh also has some spectactular reef diving too; sites such as Angel's Window can match many sites in other parts of Indonesia.
We offer a range of resorts in North Sulawesi, both within Lembeh and on Gangga Island and on the mainland. For those who just want to "do" critters then Lembeh is the place to stay, but if you want a good variety
of diving, but with access to Lembeh if you want it, then one of the other resorts such as Gangga Island Resort or Kima Bajo Resort are worth considering. We also offer a limited
choice of liveaboard trips, but to be honest the resort based diving here is so good that a liveaboard is not really necessary.
