Typical
Itinerary from the UK

Sun Dancer II is a 138ft live-aboard accommodating 20 divers
in 10 cabins. Each cabin has an en suite bathroom and individual
air conditioning controls. 9 cabins are on the main deck, with picture
windows; deluxe cabins can be either twin or double, with side-by-side
beds, well the master cabins are doubles and also have a TV &
VCR.
The "Owner's Suite" is below decks, with only portholes,
but is exceedingly large (take your golf clubs!) and has a large
video & hifi console, if you really wanted to watch TV! The
saloon is vast, with 5 large tables for eating at, a comfy lounge
area with TV, VCR & hifi system and a well stocked bar. The
top deck is a tennis court sized sun deck, with a partially shaded
area. There is also a shaded deck at the rear of the saloon, with
another bar, BBQ & seating area; it is here that detailed dive
briefings are given.
The dive deck is also vast, with two large camera tables, separate
gear and camera rinse tanks, and 2 fresh water showers. Each diver
gets his or her own dedicated gear station with tank rack &
locker. Wet suits can be hung on the ample hangers provided. Considering
diving is done from tenders, this dive deck is huge!
Diving is done from two purpose built tenders, Magic Bus & Magic
Tram. Each takes 10 divers, a dive guide and boat handler on each
dive. A separate camera area allows cameras to be handled with safety,
and a cool box is provided with clean towels for after each dive.
A drinks dispenser is available for that after dive thirst quencher!
Tanks are permanently set up on the tenders and air or Nitrox is
fed down to the tenders by whips. All you need to do is don your
wet suit on Sun Dancer II and get on your tender!
Breakfasts aboard the boat tend to be anything you want - cereal,
toast, bacon & eggs, waffles & maple syrup (if you like
that sort of thing!); lunch is served buffet style and dinner tends
to be a sit-down, formal affair with "waiter" service
(another important PADI Speciality Course certificate to have if
you want a job on a Peter Hughes vessel!). Between dives a constant
array of goodies appears from the boat's cavernous galley - pizzas
or sushi at 11am, chocolate muffins at 4pm. Don't expect to loose
weight on this boat!
Sun Dancer II offers a standard 7-night cruise throughout
the year, and selected cruises in high season (November - May) run
for 10 nights. As the 10-night cruises tie in well with flight connections
from the UK, we recommend the 10-night cruises; and anyway, the
diving is so good here, you'll wish you had done a longer trip!!!
