Papua New Guinea boasts some of the finest live-aboard dive vessels
in the world. Each offers distinct and varied qualities, not just
in the service and style of accommodation but also in the dive sites
which they visit. FeBrina is based at Walindi Plantation Resort,
accommodating 12 guests and cruising for up to fourteen days, either
from Walindi or out of Kavieng.
Way to the south, where the mainland juts out into the Pacific and
splits the Solomon and Coral Seas apart, Milne Bay province is home
to the new & improved Telita, Chertan and Marlin1.
Milne Bay is home base for Tiata, a 60ft dive vessel sleeping
ten in luxury and style. These boats offer cruises for up to 10
days to the wonderful wrecks and reefs of this remote area of Papua
New Guinea, where can be found world famous Blackjack, a
B17 bomber lying intact at 160ft , and the awesome pinnacles of
Double Tower, Banana Bommie and Egum Rock and the home of muck diving,
Dinah's Beach.
Golden Dawn moves with the diving! Usually based in Port Moresby
for access to the remote Coral Sea reefs of the Eastern Fields, she
also offers exploratory cruises along the north coast, taking in the
wrecks of Hansa Bay and the walls of Bagabag Island, or the remote
atolls of the Ninigo and Hermit Reefs and the plunging drop-offs of
Wuvulu Island. Whatever your desire, theres a live-aboard in
Papua New Guinea that will cater for it!
Star Dancer accommodating 16 guests in stunning twin or double
share cabins, offers seven and ten night cruises along the north coast
of New Britain, to the Witu Islands, Fathers Reefs and the Bainings
or out of Rabaul to dive its exciting wrecks and the Duke of York
Islands, towards New Ireland.
