Recently brought in and upgraded from Thailand, Spirit of Niugini is PNG’s newest and perhaps most luxurious liveaboard dive boat. 110ft long this steel monohull offers superb accommodation for just 16 dives with 12 crew looking after their every need. On the main deck are 4 cabins, 2 with twin beds and 2 with large double beds, all with en suites. Below decks are 4 more twin cabins with bunks and en suites. The main deck also boats a comfortable air conditioned eating and lounging area with TV, DVD player, VCR and music station. On the upper deck is another air conditioned saloon with library, camera work areas and comfy chairs. At the stern of the upped deck is a shaded sun deck for relaxing between dives and for eating al fresco; forward of the wheel house a sun lounging area. Spirit of Niugini offers two different itineraries. To the north the boat strikes out for Cape Vogel, Fergusson and Goodenough Islands, and to the south the boat covers the Louisiade & d’Entrcasteaux Archiplegos and the Samarai area.
