Star Dancer
operates in Milne Bay Province, offering 10 night trips from Alotau; north towards Deacon's Reef, the wreck of Blackjack, th B17 bomber, at Cape Vogel, Observation Point and Dinah's Beach, the birthplace of muck diving; south towards Giants at Home, Samarai Wharf and Deka Deka Island.
Star Dancer accommodates 16 guests
in twin or double cabins, each one luxuriously appointed with private
en suites (some with real baths!).
On the lower deck are the crews quarters and the Owner's Suite,
with large double bed, en suite bathroom and portholes.
On the main deck can be found 3 deluxe and 2 twin laid out either
side of a central gangway and 2 master cabins forward. Deluxe cabins
have aeither two single beds or a queen sized bed, twin cabins and
have 2 single beds and the master cabins have a large queen bed.
All the cabins have en suite bathrooms and large windows to let
in light and let you enjoy the view. Astern of the cabins is the
dive deck with tank racks, individual gear bins, camera tables and
charging stations. The majority of the diving from Star Dancer is
done from the mothership, so a large dive platform with ladders
and freshwater showers is located at water level.
On the next level up can be found the bridge, lounge, dining area
and galley, with comfy sofas, TV, VCR and other toys for wiling
away the time between dives. A shaded open air deck is located at
the back of the boat on this level. The top deck has a partially
shaded sun deck with loungers and hammocks.
